A collaborative project with P105 Maria Chin Foodbank Volunteers Group, Community Child Health Unit, Department of Paediatric, University Malaya Medical Centre to improve the nutritional status of children in this sub-urban area (B40 families). We aim to promote nutritional diet awareness, educate the children about dental hygiene and prevention of foodborne infectious disease.

We had organized a series of child health screening campaigns and intervention programmes to solve the issue of malnutrition among this group of children.  We have our dental colleagues to help his in dental hygiene education and handwashing modules.

This outreach project has been going since December 2018 and we continue to monitor the outcomes of our missions under the CUPIP research project.

Our long term ultimate goal is to eliminate malnutrition in this suburban area.
